Stoughton, Massachusetts is located in Eastern Massachusetts, bordered by Sharon on the west, Canton on the north,
Randoph on the northeast, Avon on the east, and Brockton and Easton on the
south. Stoughton is 5 miles north of Brockton, 16 miles north of Taunton, 17
miles south of Boston, and 206 miles from New York City. Principal highways are State Routes 27, 138 and 139, and the Fall River
Expressway, State Route 24, running N-S between the Boston area and Fall
River. Commuter rail service is available to Back Bay Station and South Station,
Boston. Travel time to BBS: 30-39 minutes. MBTA parking: 500 spaces.

The Town of Stoughton is a medium sized suburban community with great
ethnic and religious diversity. Stoughton is located twenty miles south,
southwest of Boston. The town is primarily a residential community with an
excellent range of commercial properties that provide jobs, economic
prosperity and non-residential tax dollars. The community takes pride in
the Stoughton Technology Center, world headquarters for a major
manufacturer of footwear as well as many family owned businesses.
Stoughton is still a very comfortable community in which to live and work,
with excellent schools. Cultural, athletic and social activities are
numerous and homes reasonable affordable.
An excellent place to live for those commuting to Boston, Stoughton is
located conveniently to downtown Boston by both MBTA commuter rail and by
interstate highways, with MBTA rapid transit a short drive away. These
same interstate highways (Routes 24, 93 and 95) also bring Stoughton within
an easy commuting distance to most suburban job locations.
